Women (and men) of the 21st century have more freedom in joining activities they choose with less to no judgment, bringing forth abounding empowerment. Such is seen in the pole dancing industry. Gone are those days when dancing sexy is deemed taboo and its mere existence is associated with lewdness, stripping and clubs. The realization that pole dancing is an expression of sensuality and sexuality as both an art and a sport is slowly unfolding, and it is veering us away from the stigma it once had.

Pole dancing studios, such as Chrome Divas Pole Dance and Fitness Studio, continue to promote pole dancing to provide people with a better understanding and clearer perception of what this dance is all about. This year, Chrome Divas will be hosting the first ever International Exotic Pole Dance Battle in the Philippines, “SULTRY: It’s okay to be sexy. Let’s Sexy Battle…”. This is their way of honoring and celebrating the exotic side of pole dancing alongside the athleticism and skills of local and international pole dancers. Pole dancers from here and around the world have been invited to judge this prestigious event, Eva Bembo, An Dre, Christina Dy, Jamaica Jornacion and Melody Rose.

Local and international pole dancers will be competing in the first ever exotic pole dancing competition in the country.
